Great Drams Produces Three Limited Edition Whiskies
Independent bottler Great Drams has released a trio of limited edition single cask single malt whiskies from Blair Athol, Girvan and Knockdhu distilleries.
Great Drams’ eight-year-old Knockdhu single cask whisky was matured in a first-fill ruby Port barrique, bottled at 48.2% alcohol by volume [96.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of berry and dark chocolate. Only 183 bottles of Great Drams Knockdhu are being made available for $85 per 500ml bottle.
Great Drams’ Blair Athol is a nine-year-old single cask whisky bottled at 46.2% alcohol by volume [92.4 proof] and is said to contain notes of citrus, marzipan and spice. Only 150 bottles of Great Drams’ Blair Athol are being made available in December 2020 for $65 per 500ml bottle.
Last but not least, Great Drams’ Girvan is a 30-year-old single cask single grain, bottled at 54.5% alcohol by volume [109 proof] and is said to contain notes of butter, fruit and vanilla. Only a mere 96 bottles of Great Drams’ Girvan are being made available for $235 per 500ml bottle.
