The Balvenie Unveils Batch Six In The Tun 1509 Series
Speyside distillery The Balvenie has released the sixth batch in their Tun 1509 series.
The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6 is a combination of 21 casks from three types: Sherry refill butts, ex-Bourbon American oak barrels and Double Wood refill Sherry butts and was allowed to marry for three months in Tun 1509 before being bottled at 50.4% alcohol by volume [100.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of maple syrup, brown sugar, toffee, honey and ginger.
The Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch 6 is being made available for $370 per bottle.
