Aston-Martin And Bowmore Produce James Bond-Themed DB5 Whisky
Carmaker Aston-Martin has collaborated with Bowmore to produce Black Bowmore DB5 1964 single malt Scotch whisky.
The Aston Martin DB5 model sports car made its on-screen debut as the vehicle of choice for James Bond in the 1964 film “Goldfinger”.
Black Bowmore DB5 1964 was matured in a walnut brown Oloroso sherry butt, bottled at 49.6% alcohol by volume [99.2 proof] and is said to contain notes of acacia honey, coffee, mango and passionfruit.
Only a mere 27 bottles of Black Bowmore DB5 1964 were produced and of these, only 25 are being made available for sale in late autumn 2020 for – alas, not $007 per bottle – but rather, $66,000 per bottle.
