Aberlour Reveals Single Malt Duo
Speyside-based Aberlour Distillery has released a pair of single malts – a 25-year-old and 21-year-old – as the oldest-ever to join their core range. Both of the single malt whiskies were fully matured in ex-bourbon barrels and Oloroso sherry casks.
The Aberlour 21 Years Old was bottled at 48% alcohol by volume (96 proof) and is said to offer notes of cherry, chocolate, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg and is being made available for $305 per 700ml bottle.
The Aberlour 25 Years Old was bottled at 50.8% alcohol by volume (101.6 proof) and is said to contain notes of cardamom, ginger, marzipan, plum and red licorice and is being made available for $740 per 700ml bottle.
