Dewar’s Tees Off With 19-Year-Old Blend For U.S. Open
As part of their multi-year collaboration with the US Golf Association (USGA) to become the official blended Scotch whisky of the US Open Championship golf tournament – beginning with this year’s tournament – Dewar’s has released a 19-year-old blended whiskey to commemorate the occasion, the Champions Edition.
Dewar’s Champions Edition is a blend of double-aged grain and single malt whiskies that was finished in former bourbon casks and is said to contain notes of cherries, honey, toffee and vanilla.
The US Open Championship is scheduled to be held from June 14-20, 2021, at Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, California.
The Dewar’s Champions Edition is being made available in ‘extremely limited quantities’ for $80 per 750ml bottle – with a portion of the proceeds intended to be given to the USGA Foundation.
