The Balvenie has released the second entry in The Fifty Collection, their three-part series of single malts showcasing five decades of The Balvenie contributions.
The Balvenie Second Edition Fifty Collection is a blend of whiskies from two casks – a single European oak refill butt, also used for the first edition, and an American oak hogshead – bottled at 49.8% alcohol by volume [99.6 proof] and is said to impart notes of oak, rose and violet.
The bad news? Only a mere 97 bottles of The Balvenie Second Edition Fifty Collection are being made available worldwide for the bargain price of $57,560 per bottle.
