Bulleit 87 Blends Bourbon And Rye
Bulleit Frontier Whiskey has released ‘87 – a blend of both bourbon and rye whiskey – which is named after the year Bulleit was founded, 1987.
For Bulleit ’87, the bourbon was aged, barreled and distilled in Shelbyville, Kentucky, while the rye was distilled and aged in Indiana before winding up in Shelbyville. Both bourbon and rye were aged for a minimum of four years, finished separately in their original barrels with toasted American oak and French oak staves for a month to a month and a half, before being blended and bottled at 45% alcohol by volume [90 proof].
Bulleit ‘87 is being made available for $30 per 750ml bottle, in the USA beginning in September 2026. Prior to that, Bulleit will launch a promotional campaign tour in 15 cities nationwide.
