Glenmore Given New Life

Buffalo Trace and owner Sazerac have revived Glenmore Bourbon and rye whiskey, after both had been abandoned when the Kentucky-based Glenmore Distillery stopped production in 1992.

Both the newly revived Glenmore Distillery Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey were bottled at 50% alcohol by volume [100 proof] with Glenmore Bourbon said to produce notes of crème brûlée, toasted marshmallow, pecan and vanilla, while Glenmore Rye Whiskey is said to contain notes of black pepper, toasted grain and rye spice.

Both Glenmore Bourbon and Rye Whiskey are being made available for $20 per 750ml bottle.
