Berry Bros & Rudd Offers 25 Senses Of Places
London-based Berry Bros & Rudd has released Coasts & Shores – the second installment of their A Sense of Place whisky collection, with this installment celebrating 25 whiskies from 12 worldwide coastal distilleries.
Berry Bros & Rudd’s Coasts & Shores includes whiskies from the famous coastal distillery locales such as Islay, famed for its smoky and peaty profiles [in this case, a whisky finished in Oloroso sherry] to more unique coastal distilleries such as Sweden’s Smögen Distillery [which is said to offer notes of Scandinavian coastal smoke along with brine and minerals].
Additional notable whisky distilleries included are Caol Ila, a Barolo-finished whisky from The Dalmore and Japan’s Sakurao Distillery, located in the coastal town of Hatsukaichi, Japan, with the single cask bottling distilled and matured at the distillery on the shores of Hiroshima Bay.
All 25 whiskies in Berry Bros & Rudd’s Coasts & Shores Collection are being made available from $90-$290 per bottle in a variety of markets including the UK and selected international markets.
