Berry Bros Whisky Toasts New Sense of Place Collection
Each landscape emits a unique flavor and Berry Bros and Rudd distillery is captivating this essence in its whisky. The distillery has trumped a collection of expressions reflecting the spirit of landscapes across Scotland.
‘A Sense of Place’ is divided into two sections: Glens & Valleys and Coast & Shores. Glens & Valleys is the collection’s first release and includes 25 bottlings from 10 strategic locations, from the Grampian mountains to the Garioch Valley.
Glens & Valleys’ collection includes a Glenlossie distilled in 2011, a Glen Elgin from 2008, a Blair Athol finished in a Pedro Ximénez cask, and a Glen Garioch aged in an oloroso sherry cask.

Berry Bros will release certain bottlings exclusively, while other retailers around the world will sell the remaining products.
In a statement to the Daily Mirror, Felix Dear, spirit master at Berry Bros & Rudd, said: “This release is a testament to nature and craftsmanship. As you explore these whiskies, you embark on a sensory expedition through some of Scotland’s most cherished and secluded spots.
“You’ll find whiskies that epitomize the distinctiveness of their respective distilleries, alongside the landscape they reside in; while others have the additional influence of flavor through varied cask finishes.
“These special editions have been infused with distinct flavors from casks sourced through our long-standing relationships with world-class producers.”
The series will conclude with Coasts & Shores in autumn 2024, featuring a collection of whiskies and rums from coastal destinations around the world. A special Bowmore release was released to celebrate Berry Bros’ launch of its first store dedicated to spirits in London earlier this year.
