Beware The Cu Bocan This Halloween
You will probably see the usual array of frightening figures appearing on your doorstep in four weeks – vampires, zombies, any member of the Kardashian or Lohan family – but if you see a bottle of Cu Bocan at your door, the next thing you should do is determine if you have enough glassware to share with your friends. Cu Bocan is the latest single malt Scotch whisky from the Tomatin Distillery, named after a mythological, spooky fire-breathing beast purportedly seen by a distillery worker on the Scottish Highland who most assuredly had not had too much whisky that night, we can tell you….right. Matured in a combination of virgin oak, bourbon and sherry casks, Cu Bocan has a light smoke nose intertwined with rich citrus and exotic spices – it says it right there on the bottle – and brings a 46% alcohol content [92 proof] to the table.
Cu Bocan is available in the USA and worldwide beginning in October 2013 for $72 per 750ml bottle.
