Bushmills Brings Out 28-Year-Old Cognac-Finished Whiskey
Bushmills has released a 28-year-old Irish whiskey finished in cognac casks as part of their Rare Casks Series.
Bushmills 28-Year-Old Single Malt Cognac Cask Whiskey was distilled from a mashbill comprising 100% unpeated malted barley, aged for 11 years in both bourbon and Oloroso sherry barrels, finished in ex-cognac casks for a final 17 years and is said to contain notes of almond, cinnamon, pear and vanilla and cinnamon.
Only 500 bottles of Bushmills 28-Year-Old Single Malt Cognac Cask Whiskey is being made available for $500 per bottle.
