Cedar Ridge Doubles Down
Iowa-based Cedar Ridge Distillery has doubled down with the release of their limited edition Double Barrel Rye Whiskey and Double Barrel Bourbon. Both Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Rye and Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Bourbon were finished in new American oak casks.
Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Bourbon release has a mashbill of 74% corn, 14% rye, and 12% malted barley and also spent time in a second, new American oak barrel, was bottled at 52.5% alcohol by volume [105 proof] and is said to contain notes of cinnamon, grapefruit and nutmeg.
Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Rye Whiskey, meanwhile, has a mashbill of 85% rye, 12% corn, and 3% malted barley, also spent some time in a second, new American oak barrel and was also bottled at 52.5% alcohol by volume [105 proof].
Both Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Bourbon and Cedar Ridge Double Barrel Rye Whiskey are being made available for $60 per bottle.
