Coalition Whiskey Makes Its 2021 Debut
Coalition Whiskey from Kentucky Artisan Distillery is making its 2021 debut with three versions finished in ex-Bordeaux wine barrels.
Coalition Whiskey is a 100% rye whiskey comprised of a blend of five-year-old rye, matured in American oak barrels for five years, then finished in Margaux barriques, Pauillac barriques, and Sauternes barriques, bottled at various levels – Coalition Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Margaux Barriques is bottled at 45.4% alcohol by volume [90.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of floral and red fruit; Coalition Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Pauillac Barriques is bottled at 46.3% alcohol by volume [92.6 proof] and is said to contain notes of black fruit and spice, while Coalition Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in Sauternes Barriques (47.1% alcohol by volume – 94.2 proof) is said to contain notes of fruit, honey and spice.
All three Coalition Whiskies are being made available for $90 per bottle.
