Computer Detects Counterfeit Whisky
A computer program originating from St. Andrews University in the UK has successfully detected a counterfeit whisky on the “Brit Lab” television show.
The computer program takes a sample of a whisky and breaks down its chemical components, then compares it to a known database of chemical whisky components and produces a likely match. If the whisky is counterfeit, there is no match for the chemical composition.
