The Portsoy Distillery in Scotland produced its first whisky since being taken over by BenRiach Distillery in March – a 30-year-old Glengassaugh single malt – that promises a first wave full of fruit [peach, mango, banana are most often mentioned] followed by a finishing wave of toffee, ginger and oak spiciness.
The new 30-year-old Glenngassaugh single malt brings 89.6 proof [44.8% alcohol] to the table and will be released to global markets in September 2013.
