Everybody’s Best Friend Is Whisky/Whiskey

The new numbers are out from the number crunchers and they are essentially saying the same thing as they have been saying for the last couple years – whiskey/whisky has become everybody’s best liquor friend these days, replacing the vodka boom of last decade. All the largest distillers have reported whopping increases in their whisky/whiskey sales with flavored whiskies reporting the largest increases while Irish whiskies, led by Jameson, are surging the most in the traditional sector – Irish whiskey outsold single malts in the USA market for the first time in more than 75 years.
All major distillers have reported gigantic gains in whisky/whiskey revenues of at or nearly double digit percentages in the recently completed quarter ending in August 2013.
