Glenglassaugh Reveals 50-Year-Old
Highland distillery Glenglassaugh has released a 50-year-old single malt whisky – one of the oldest from the distillery.
The Glenglassaugh 50-Year-Old was finished in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks from Andalucía, Spain, bottled at 40.1% alcohol by volume [80.2 proof] and because it has been matured in the distillery’s coastal warehouses, said to contain notes of almond, blackberry, cherry, figs and mango.
Only a mere 264 bottles of Glenglassaugh 50 Year Old are being made available in Asia and Europe for a mere pittance of $7,650 per 700ml bottle.
