Hakushu 12 And Hibiki 17 About To Disappear

Suntory has announced that sales of Hakushu 12-year-old single malt and the Hibiki 17-year-old blend would be suspended due to low supply.

Hakushu 12 sales will be suspended in June 2018 and Hibiki 17 will no longer be on sale beginning in September 2018.

Suntory is rumored, however, to be holding back stock of both whiskies for the upcoming Olympics in Japan in 2020.

Suntory is planning on increasing production capacity for both Hakushu 12 and Hibiki 17 – including expanding its maturation abilities – but the whisky shortages may extend for up to 10 years.
