Jack Daniel’s Coffee – A Good Idea Or Not?
On the surface, coffee infused with Jack Daniel’s should elicit the response of “what’s not to like?” So when the Tennessee-based whiskey distillery recently released their Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Coffee in partnership with World of Coffee, it should be all good, right?
The coffee in question is made with 100 percent Arabica coffee, but the blend is non-alcoholic, and therefore only infused with the aroma and some wispy taste elements of Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey – unlike the previous 2011 discontinued version of Jack Daniel’s Coffee which incorporated Jack Daniel’s flavoring into the grounds [and still did not use actual Tennessee whiskey].
In short, there is no actual Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey in this coffee – only chemical representations of its aroma and taste – which may then elicit the response “what’s the point?”
Should you be curious to at least try it out for yourself, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Coffee is available online at jackdaniels.com with an 8.8-ounce tin of the coffee costing you $21.95 and 1.5-ounce gift bags costing $6.95.
