Jackson Family Wines Enters the Whisky Industry
Jackson Family Wines has launched its inaugural whiskey as a follow-up to the company’s horse racing forage. With the rollout of Stonestreet Kentucky Straight Bourbon, the company has entered the whisky industry.
In 2005, the organization founded Stonestreet Farms in Kentucky as part of a successful horse racing project. Both the horse racing farm and the whisky were named using the middle name of founder Jess Jackson.
Christopher Jackson, co-proprietor of Jackson Family Wines and master blender, said: “From racing our first thoroughbred in 2005 to the release of our inaugural bourbon, we will never stop pursuing what is possible while respecting those who have ventured before us.”
Jackson Family Wines Enters the Whisky Industry
As part of their ambition to make a name in top-level thoroughbred racing, the Jackson family established Stonestreet Farms in Kentucky. Soon after, they made it happen. The company had three consecutive American Horses of the Year emerge from Stonestreet Farms. These are Curlin (2007, 2008) and Rachel Alexandra (2009).
Notably, Stonestreet Founder’s Edition Kentucky Straight Bourbon is distilled from high-wheat mashbills and aged for at least five years. The distillery has produced 131 barrels and is available in all US states.
The spirit features delicate aromas of toasted caramel, sweet corn, and lemon oil. A lingering finish on the palate is rounded and offers flavors of baked peach, vanilla, and toffee. Enjoy over ice, or use as an ingredient in classic cocktails.
In addition, the distillery has placed similar ambitious goals for its first expression. The label carries a motto belaying the high expectations levied on it. The title states: a bourbon in the pursuit of victory. We should not be surprised to this whisky claiming awards at the annual drinks competitions.
The Jackson Family ethos has sent us its first spirit and so far, the critics are loving it.
