Jura Reveals Sherry Cask Finish Scotch
Jura Distillery has released Jura 12 Year Old Oloroso Edition – as the initial entry in a new series of sherry-finished whiskies – with this one being a 12-year-old aged in Oloroso sherry casks.
Jura 12 Year Old Oloroso Edition began the maturation process in ex-bourbon barrels before being shifted over to a second maturation in a combination of American and European oak Oloroso sherry hogsheads and then, ultimately being bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] with notes said to be reminiscent of citrus, stone fruits and walnut.
Jura 12 Year Old Oloroso Edition is being made available for $65 per bottle.
