Kavalan Launches New Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky
Kavalan, Taiwan’s premier whisky distiller, is launching its top-3-selling Concertmaster Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky exclusively for export.
Featuring notes of vanilla, coconut, and honey, the Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is accompanied by two 50ml bottles of Kavalan’s flagship expressions: Kavalan Classic and Distillery Select No. 1.

Kavalan Creates New Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky
The gift set is being launched in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Japan, Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Mexico. It features a unique packaging inspired by the green mountains surrounding the distillery.
However, there is much more to the package and bottle design that’s worth mentioning. An inner lining features colorful ferns as a reference to Taiwan’s fertile, subtropical landscape. Both the box and bottle point to Kavalan’s water source, Snow Mountain.

Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish
The Kavalan Concertmaster Port Cask Finish is aged in specially selected American oak casks and finished in Portuguese ruby Port barrels. This whisky is smooth, rich, and complex, with a natural sweetness and rich body.
Created with a rich caramel color, the spirit relishes the nose with aromas of honey, vanilla, coconut, and candy floss. The desire lingers on the palate leaving traces of a rich blend bodied with natural sweetness and complexity.
Kavalan Classic
There is no doubt that Kavalan Classic Single Malt Whisky reflects the quality of whisky to be found in Taiwan. The distillery’s craftsmanship works in conjunction with the humid climate to create diversity and complexity.
