Kavalan Preps For 2026 Lunar New Year
Taiwan-based single malt whisky Kavalan is preparing for the 2026 Lunar New year – the Year of the Horse – with the release of both a Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky along with a limited edition Golden Steed & Peonies gift set of mini bottles.
Kavalan Triple Sherry Cask Single Malt Whisky was matured in a trio – Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez and Moscatel – of sherry casks, bottled at 40% alcohol by volume [80 proof] and is said to offer notes of caramel and tropical fruit.
Meanwhile, the Kavalan Year of the Horse Limited Edition Golden Steed & Peonies gift set offers a quartet of 50-ml bottles of Kavalan single malt whiskies – ex-bourbon Oak, Wine Oak, Brandy Oak and Port Oak – all bottled at 54% alcohol by volume [108 proof].
