Komada – A Whisky Family Opens in Theatres November 10
It’s the whisky movie, Komada – A Whisky Family, that shares the story of the famous whisky brand, KOMA. Spirited from studio P.A. Works, has released a new teaser visual and trailer. The movie will roll out on November 10 in Japan.
Whisky enthusiasts are excited by the achievement and expect that the story will inspire the community as Casino did for the betting industry. Other studios have produced whisky-themed movies or TV shows including:

The Whisky Family Movie Plot
Komada – A Whisky Family movie is built around Kotaro, a novice website news editor who tours the Komada Distillery for a project on Japanese craft whisky. He finds that a young female president, Rui, has recently taken over the business, and the distillery is hard at work to reproduce KOMA, its signature whisky.
Although Rui’s ancestors preserved the KOMA brand, an abundance of clues are lacking to revive it once lost. Rui, Koutarou, and the distillery supporters pull together every thread to bring this whisky back to life. will they be able to find a way to recreate the legacy of her father and grandfather?
The movie is being directed by Masayuki Yoshihara, with Kosuke Kawatsura as the character designer and chief animation director. The music is composed by Tatsuya Kato.
