Murray Hill Joins The Club Again
Murray Hill Club Whiskey from Joseph A. Magnus & Co. has been re-launched. Murray Hill Club Whiskey is a blended bourbon made from whiskeys ranging in age from nine to 18 years that was first introduced in 1892 and carried the reputation as being one of the finest whiskeys on the market prior to Prohibition. The re-launched version was created using blending techniques that were regularly employed in Magnus’ era but were largely lost when Prohibition was initially instituted.
The majority of the re-launched version of Murray Hill Club’s whiskey blend is comprised of 11 year-old bourbon with some 18 year-old bourbon adding some depth and complexity before the whiskey then is rounded out with touch of nine year-old light whiskey.
Murray Hill Club whiskey is bottled at 51% alcohol by volume [102 proof], is reported to have notes of vanilla and dried fruit and is available in the Washington D.C. area.
