Old Forester Offers 117 Rum Finish Bourbon

Old Forester has unveiled a limited release from their experimental 117 Series dubbed Old Forester 117 Series: Rum Finish, which was placed in casks that had previously held rum for a minimum of four years, lending it notes of rich tropical fruit and coconut.

Old Forester 117 Series: Rum Finish was finished in the aforementioned rum casks for approximately six months before being bottled at 47.5% alcohol by volume [95 proof] and is said to offer notes of banana, coconut and toffee.

Old Forester 117 Series: Rum Finish is being made available for $60 per 375ml bottle [or a two-pack set for $120].
