The Macallan Has Another Night On Earth

Highland-based The Macallan is spending another night on earth with the release of the fourth annual A Night on Earth whisky, which celebrates the planet’s first sunrise of the new year – in New Zealand on January 1, 2026.

The Macallan A Night on Earth: The First Light emanates from a combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks along with ex-bourbon-holding American oak casks and is said to impart notes of berries, New Zealand Manuka honey, oak, spice and toasted marshmallows.

Additionally, New Zealand artist Bonnie Brown was responsible for the label artwork – featuring coastal barbecues, beach bonfires and Pōhutukawa blossoms – for this year’s edition.

The Macallan A Night on Earth: The First Light is being made available at the official site [themacallan.com] as well as select retailers for $130 per bottle.
