The Stranglers Unveil Another Golden Brown
British rock band The Stranglers have unveiled another Golden Brown – this time it is a single malt Scotch whisky – in a collaboration with Caskade Drinks. The whisky’s name is a reference to their 1982 mainstream hit “Golden Brown” which lead singer Hugh Cornwell says was about “heroin….and a girl”.
The Stranglers Golden Brown is a 14-year-old single malt originating from Speyside-based Craigellachie Distillery, matured in ex-sherry casks, bottled at 46% alcohol by volume [92 proof] and is said to contain notes of almond, coffee and burnt toffee.
“It’s a limited run and there’s only 835 bottles available in total, so be quick if you want a dram with us,” said The Stranglers in a press release.
The Stranglers Golden Brown is being made available to pre-order directly from Caskade Drinks and will also be sold at The Stranglers’ live shows in Glasgow’s Kelvingrove Park on Friday, June 6, 2026 and Saturday, June 7, 2026.
