Third Time’s A Charm For The Glenrothes – Single Cask 1968

The Glenrothes has released the third in their Single Cask series of single malt Scotch whisky – The Glenrothes Extraordinary Single Cask 1968. Following in the footsteps of the releases of Single Casks from 1969 and 1970, the 1968 Single Cask from The Glenrothes emerged from a second-fill hogshead cask which began maturing on November 19, 1968. The end result was 145 bottles of single malt Scotch whisky with 41.9% alcohol content [83.8 proof].

The Glenrothes Extraordinary Single Cask 1968 is only available – for $9250 per bottle – at the Singapore Changi Airport in February 2015 before being made available worldwide in March 2015.
