Writers’ Tears Introduces Marsala Cask Irish Whiskey

Writers’ Tears has added an Irish whiskey finished in Marsala wine hogshead casks.

Writers’ Tears Marsala Cask Finish is a blend of single pot still and single malt Irish whiskies that was matured in American oak Bourbon casks and finished for 12 months in one of five Marsala hogshead casks before being bottled at 45% alcohol by volume [90 proof].

Unfortunately for those around the world not living in or near these locations, four of the five casks have already been allocated to Australia and three for Ireland.

Only 2,430 bottles of Writers’ Tears Marsala Cask Finish are being made available – if you can get them – for $85 per bottle.
