Ballantine’s Gets Hard Fired Up
Ballantine’s has introduced Hard Fired – a blended Scotch whiskey whose aging barrels have undergone an extra charring process. Ballantine’s has the American oak barrels used for its Hard Fired whiskey charred twice for an unspecified amount of time, producing a whiskey that will then be bottled at 40% alcohol content [80 proof] while accentuating vanilla, spice and, naturally, smoky notes.
Ballantine’s Hard Fired blended Scotch whiskey will be available immediately in France and Poland but not internationally until March 2016.
