The GlenAllachie Launches Meikle Toir Turbo Edition
The GlenAllachie has put their pedal to the metal and launched their third heavily peated small batch Meikle Tòir Turbo Edition, showcasing Meikle Tòir’s roots by increasing the normal peat content from 35ppm (parts per million) to 72ppm for the Turbo Edition, with the peat originating from Scottish mainland peat from St Fergus.
The 2025 Meikle Tòir Turbo Edition was matured in virgin oak casks and Oloroso sherry hogsheads for five years, bottled at 50% alcohol by volume [100 proof[ and is said to contain notes of dark chocolate, manuka honey and toasted caramel amongst the peat and smoke.
The 2025 Meikle Tòir Turbo Edition is being made available from The GlenAllachie Distillery for $75 per bottle.
