Barton 1792 Gets Wheated
Kentucky-based Barton 1792 Distillery has released 1792 Wheated Full Proof – a wheated bourbon touting a 62.5% alcohol by volume (125 proof) level that is identical to the original barrel entry proof.
Barton 1792 Wheated Full Proof uses 1792 Sweet Wheat, introduced in 2015, instead of traditional rye, and is said to produce notes of caramel, fruit, oak and vanilla.
Barton 1792 Wheated Full Proof Bourbon is being made available in California, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas for $40 per 375ml bottle.
