Buffalo Trace Continues Single Oak Experiment
Buffalo Trace Distillery is continuing their Experimental Collection with the inclusion of a new Single Oak Rye Bourbon and a Low Entry Proof Wheated Bourbon. The Single Oak Project began in 1999, involved 192 bourbon barrels and highlights mash bill, entry proof, ageing location and barrel construction.
Buffalo Trace Single Oak Rye Bourbon is a replication of Barrel #80 of the project and is slated to become a permanent addition to the Buffalo Trace portfolio.
Buffalo Trace Single Oak Rye Bourbon was bottled at 45% alcohol by volume [90 proof] and is said to offer notes of caramel, oak, toffee and vanilla.
Buffalo Trace Single Oak Rye Bourbon is being made available for $75 per 375ml bottle.
The Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection Low Entry Proof Wheated Bourbon was bottled at 53.5% alcohol by volume [107 proof] and is said to offer notes of caramel, fig, leather and tobacco.
The Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection Low Entry Wheated Bourbon is being made available for $47 per 375ml bottle.
