Bushmills Adds Quartet Of Whiskies To Private Reserve
Bushmills has released a quartet of Irish whiskies for their limited Private Reserve series, with each of the four new whiskies featuring a triple cask maturation process – each of the new releases in the Private Reserve series were aged in a combination of both bourbon and sherry casks along with a different third cask – the pair of 10-year-old single malts were finished in Amarone and Moscatel casks, while the pair of 12-year-old single malts were finished in Bordeaux and tequila casks.
Bushmills Private Reserve 10-year-old Amarone Cask was bottled at 47.3% alcohol by volume [94.6 proof] and is said to offer notes of blackberry, cherry, chocolate, cinnamon, plum and vanilla. It is being made available for $60 per bottle.
Bushmills Private Reserve 10-year-old Moscatel Cask was bottled at 48.5% alcohol by volume [97 proof] and is said to contain notes of apricot and orange. It is being made available for $60 per bottle.
Bushmills Private Release 12-year-old Bordeaux Cask was bottled at 47% alcohol by volume [94 proof] and is said to offer notes of apple, black cherry, honey, ginger, raspberry and vanilla. It is being made available for $75 per bottle.
Bushmills Private Release 12-year-old Tequila Cask was bottled at 46.4% alcohol by volume [92.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of apple, brown sugar, fudge, honey, melon, and vanilla. It is being made available for $75 per bottle.
