A complete set of The Macallan Anniversary Single Malt Collection – 19 bottles in all – is set to go on sale and could be the only complete collection [not counting those at The Macallan distillery itself] in the world.
The first bottle of The Macallan Anniversary Single Malt Collection was released in 1983 and the collection’s 19 bottles includes single malt whiskies from: 1957, 1958, 1958/59, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1974, and 1975.
The owner of the collection is a 72-year-old woman named Danielle Smeyers who lives in the Italian town of Liguria [near the ultra-wealthy enclave of Monaco] and the base price set for the collection is $167,637.
