Very Very Old Fitzgerald Bourbon Relinquished Via Auction
A Very Very Old Fitzgerald 18 Year Bourbon was auctioned off for $71,375 late last month via auction house Unicorn Auctions.
The Very Very Old Fitzgerald 18 Year Bourbon was dubbed a so-called “Blackhawk Bourbon” as it was part of a collection of bourbon from the Chicago-based Wirtz family, owners of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks since 1954.
The Very Very Old 18 Year Bourbon was bottled at 60.5% alcohol by volume [121 proof] by Stitzel-Weller exclusively for the Wirtz family and is one of the few Blackhawk Bourbons believed to currently exist.
