Flooding Forces Buffalo Trace Distillery To Temporarily Close
Kentucky-based mega-distillery Buffalo Trace was forced to temporarily close this week due to flooding caused by heavy rain throughout the state of Kentucky.
Flooding caused by the heavy rainstorms submerged the Buffalo Trace Distillery gift shop as the distillery released a statement announcing that it would be temporarily closing until at least Thursday, April 10, 2025.
Owned by the Sazerac Company, Buffalo Trace Distillery produces numerous bourbon products including the namesake bourbon, Col. E.H. Taylor, Eagle Rare and, of course, in partnership with the Van Winkle family, all of the various highly sought-after Van Winkle bourbons.
