Gold Spot Finds The Spot With Port-Matured Irish Whiskey

Gold Spot has released a limited edition single pot still whiskey matured in port wine casks.

Gold Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey was matured for a minimum of nine years in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks along with Bordeaux wine casks and port pipes – sourced from Portugal’s Douro Valley – and which is a first for the Gold Spot, bottled at 51.4% alcohol by volume [102.8 proof] and is said to contain notes of fruit, oak and spice.

Gold Spot Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is being made available for $125 per bottle in Ireland, France, the UK and the USA [in July 2022].
