Hennessy Celebrates Champs-Elysees Cocktail For The Holidays
Hennessy Cognac celebrates the 100th anniversary of the Champs-Élysées Cocktail by collaborating with just under 200 venues along the famous Parisian avenue.
The Champs-Élysées Cocktail was created in 1925 – during the so-called Roaring Twenties – and Hennessy is identified as the original cognac used in the cocktail.
The Cocktail Champs-Élysées 1925 by Hennessy original recipe consists of 45ml of Hennessy VS, 15ml of Yellow Chartreuse, 20ml of fresh lemon juice, and a dash of Angostura bitters, finished with a lemon twist.
Hennessy has also created a modern-day version of the cocktail – called Cocktail Champs-Élysées 2.0 – which is held together with 40ml Hennessy VS, 10ml Yellow Chartreuse, 15ml apricot liqueur, 20ml verjus juice, and a dash of Peychaud’s bitters.
Hennessy also offers an alcohol-free version – Mocktail Champs-Élysées – at the participating Parisian venues.
