Hooghoudt Bites The Dust
La Martiniquaise-Bardinet-owned Dutch whisky-making distillery Hooghoudt will close their distillery in Groningen and move its production to LMB’s distillery in Ghent in Belgium.
Production operations in Groningen – where the distillery has been based for 137 years – will officially end on December 31, 2025.
LMB’s subsidiary – La Martiniquaise Benelux – agreed to acquire Hooghoudt in May 2025.
