Johnnie Walker Collabs With Ronny Chieng For Lunar New Year
Blended Scotch brand Johnnie Walker has collaborated with Malaysian-born actor/comedian Ronny Chieng – one of the stars of the wildly popular 2018 “Crazy Rich Asians” feature film – to celebrate the Lunar New Year.
Diageo-owned Johnnie Walker is launching a humorous marketing campaign to promote Lunar New Year celebrations with Chieng, who is also an Emmy-winning correspondent from “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central.
The campaign is said to be focusing on ‘the evolving customs that reflect the dynamic spirit of the season, honoring both tradition and progress’ while Chieng’s inclusion is intended to bring his ‘sharp wit and fresh perspective’ while also including his wife, Hannah Pham, and their family’s Lunar New Year celebrations.
