Johnnie Walker Walks The Red Carpet Next Week

You may not be lucky enough to find yourself in Hollywood for next week’s 86th Academy Awards [March 2, 2014] but Johnnie Walker will be there in your absence. The chic Governors Ball post-award party where all the evening’s winners initially congregate before flitting off into the night to other parties, will be hosting a special Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky Bar featuring none other than Johnnie Walker Platinum and Johnnie Walker Blue whiskies. In addition, the featured cocktail of the evening will be the venerable “Blood and Sand” – the cocktail made famous by the 1922 silent movie of the same name starring Rudolph Valentino – consisting of cherry brandy [blood], whisky [sand] vermouth and orange juice.

Also making cameo appearances as best supporting whiskies at the Johnnie Walker Scotch Whisky Bar as best supporting whiskies will be Buchanans, Bushmills, Crown Royal, J&B and Windsor whiskies.
