Kandoblanc Ltd to Debut First Whisky
A new whisky distillery, Kandoblanc, will debut its first whisky flavor. Kandoblanc Limited will roll out a new whisky at the Distillers One on One auction in October at Sotheby’s.
According to Dhavall Gandhi, owner of the new whisky brand, the new spirit, Aga, was named after his son. The expression reflects a fusion of ideas, cultures, and historical tastes. He said that:
“I believe in the art of duality and have a passion for art and whisky. At Kandoblanc, our goal is to create individual objects, which are one-off art pieces, never to be repeated. Each object is a celebration of cultural diversity and creative influencers.”
In addition, Aga is the combination of two famous Scotch whiskies that reach back in time to 1979. The fusion selected a Speyside single malt and a Highland malt spirit. Both were chosen by Ghandi in an effort to add finesse and flamboyance to the new expression.
Furthermore, Ghandi takes his unison theory all the way to bottling. The flask is designed using the third-century Japanese art of kintsugi and Italian tinting craftmanship of battuto glass.
History of Kandoblanc Whisky
After working as a Master Distiller for industry giants such as Macallan and Lake Distillery, Ghandi decided to move out on his own. In 2022, he registered the brand trademark Kandoblanc and formed Kandoblanc LTD.
Moreover, Aga is proof of the extent of his work, as he is creator, designer, and distiller. From the fusion to the whisky descanter, Ghandi’s experience has led to the dawn of a new brand of whisky. The world is expecting much from this new spirit brand and its leader.
Following his debut at Sotheby’s auction, he plans to push Aga into markets. The new whisky will become available in retail units to the general whisky community. The auction will open on October 5, 2003.
