Last Drop Distillers Rolls Out 3 Unique Spirits in 2024 Edition
Age, flavor, whisky – these are common words in any celebration chatter and this year has received a new impulse for whisky libraries. Last Drop Distillers has added three special expressions to its 2024 special edition. The spirits reveal a rich lore in their creation trail that will ignite enthusiasts for years.
Featuring a 44.8% ABV, Release No 34 is a 40-year-old single malt Scotch produced by the Lowland distillery Auchentoshan. Having aged for forty years, only 74 bottles have been released. The spirit shows sweetness with notes of fruitcake, stewed apples, black cherry, and a spicy oak finish.

Another amazing expression is Release No. 36, a 55-year-old single malt Scotch whisky from Tomintoul Distillery in Speyside. It is the oldest single malt released by Last Drop Distillers, aging for 53 years in oak casks and then finishing for 20 months in amoroso Sherry butt casks. The spirit features notes of dark fruits and raisins on the nose and a strong spice on the palate. There are only 582 bottles available.
In addition, there is a world of cultures blended in the third spirit of this collection. The distillery has crafted a magnificent spirit that includes the best rums from Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Venezuela, Guadeloupe, Brazil, and Fiji. Release No. 35 is a 22-year-old blend dubbed the ‘Infinitum Rum Blend’.
According to the distillery, it has honeycomb, nutmeg, and allspice flavors. There are only 136 bottles of rum available. It has a 53.1% alcohol content.
A press note by Rebecca Jago, managing director of The Last Drop Distillers, stated: “We take great joy in sharing our discoveries and stories, and we are delighted to present The Last Drop’s 2024 collection of remarkable spirits.
“It has been a fascinating mission to curate these releases; each reveals a different element of what makes our business unique: the originality of the Auchentoshan process, the fortuitous result of the ‘infinity’ rum’ and the spirit of innovation within the Tomintoul release from the distillery’s early years.”
