50-Year-Old Yamazaki Sells For More Than Your Car [Probably]
A 50-Year-Old bottle of Yamazaki single malt whisky sold at the Bonhams Hong Kong auction for $33,189. The whisky was aged for 50 years then bottled in 2011 in a Japanese oak cask. Wild Turkey Issues Diamond Edition
Wild Turkey will release a Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary Edition of its bourbon in honor of their master distiller Jimmy Russell – considered the longest-tenured active distiller in the world. The bourbon in question is a mixture of 13-Year-Old and 16-Year-Old whiskies producing caramel and vanilla aroma notes and a spicy oak finish. The Wild Turkey Diamond Anniversary Edition will be available on a limited basis for $125 per bottle.

It’s the Golden Age Of Cider In California
The state of California has officially jumped onto the cider bandwagon – or at least Devoto Orchards in Sonoma has – with the launching of 6.9% alcohol content Golden State Cider. The medium dry cider is made from West Coast USA apples only and no additives. Golden State Cider is currently available in California in bottles but will also be available in cans in September 2014.
