Remnant Whisky Distillery Launches The Golden Fleece
Tasmanian whisky distillery, Remnant Whisky Company, has added another spirit to its portfolio. The whisky giant rolled out a new taste dubbed The Golden Fleece.
According to the company, The Golden Fleece is a 10-year-old single malt whisky. The spirit was aged in ex-American Oak Bourbon and ex-Australian Sherry casks. The distillery set out on a search for other unique tastes and flavors. Expressed in the words of Phil Collidge, Creative Director at Remnant Whisky Company,
“Our goal from the onset when we created Remnant Whisky Company. was to bottle whiskies of exceptional quality and value. Tasmanian single malt whisky is held in high regard all across the world. However, we are also convinced that to stay relevant and sustainable, especially in the current economic climate, we have to develop a reputation as the best value, high quality, whisky money can buy,”

In addition, the starting price of the whisky will will allow the average consumer to add it to their daily consumption. Collectionist will also be including this $99 flavor to their whisky libraries.
Furthermore, the Golden Fleece whisky is more than another bottle. Several years ago company founders, Peter Bignell, his son Dane, and Phil Collidge, led the failed Nant barrel scheme. The owners sees this whisky as an opportunity to give back to those who lost investments in the scheme.
Bignell, who serves as the Master Distiller at Remnant Whisky Company, was upbeat about their success. He said,
“Firstly, we design all our whiskies for a great drinking experience. When you purchase a Remnant, you will always receive a full flavoured, multi-layered single malt whisky that is a pleasure nosing, through to a long finish. Whisky is honest, we let the whisky tell us at what ABV strength works best for that release, and that’s been the same for The Golden Fleece. An incredible example of Tasmanian whisky,”
