Scallywag Introduces Whisky-Infused Chocolates

Today is World Chocolate Day, and to celebrate, the Douglas Laing-owned Speyside blended malt whisky producer, Scallywag, has released their whisky-infused range of chocolates in a collaboration with Glasgow-based Sugarsnap Artisan Chocolate.

Sugarsnap founder Annette Smith infused Scallywag whisky into ganache, then decorated the chocolates with the brand colors of Scallywag’s three blended malt whiskies – Scallywag’s flagship blend of malts from Mortlach, The Macallan and The Glenrothes distilleries [46% alcohol by volume – 92 proof – matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks and said to contain notes of dark chocolate and vanilla], a 10-year-old blended malt and a recent limited-release Chocolate Edition bottling.

Scallywag will give away some of the chocolates and a bottle of Scallywag Chocolate Edition in a contest which people can participate in via Scallywag’s official Instagram (@scallywagwhisky).
