Super Spy James Bond Whisky Goes to Auction
Bonhams will showcase the Macallan James Bond whisky in a special edition auction this September. The limited edition collection of the Bond film franchise will join the festivities of the 60th anniversary of the super spy.
The world’s international auction house, Bonhams, will open a limited edition spirit showcase later this month. Among the special expressions will be the famous Macallan James Bond which will represent distinct decades of the franchise’s history.
According to details, each decade is presented with a unique design that identifies the theme of that decade. The collection is entitled The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Release – Decades I-VI.
The James Bond Whisky Auction
In addition, the auction will display other fine collections including a bottle of of 50-year-old Macallan from The Red Collection said to have been launched in 2020. The auction will run from September 11 – 20.
Furthermore, the auction will integrate other drinks besides the James Bond whisky or Macallan brands. Whisky lovers can expect to find a wide array of rare and limited edition spirits and expressions. These will include:
- a bottle of Bowmore, 52-Year-old-1965,
- a 70-year-old Glenfiddich
- A bottle of The Balvenie-56-year-old-1962
- a bottle of The Glenlivet-70-year-old-1940 Generations 1st Release
Besides the rare and historic inclusions across six decades, the James Bond collection speaks to a global audience. Agent 007 has become a part of homes from all over the world. It may not be unlikely to find bidders who have never tasted whisky.
Bonham’s is a privately held international auction house that specializes in fine art and antique auctions. It was formed from a merger of Bonhams & Brooks with Phillips Son & Neale in November 2001. The company was founded in 1793 and continues as auctioneers of fine art and antiques, motor cars, and jewelry.
In September 2018, Epiris announced the acquisition Of Bonhams. Epiris Fund II, advised by Epiris LLP, agreed to the purchase of the company.
